Sorry for the delay in updating this post...
but I wanted to wait for the official stats from Kayla's one year Doctor visit....
So today we went and Kayla got her one year shots
along with her flu shot so she should be all set for the winter!
She really liks Dr. John alot! He was very pleased with her
development in terms of talking and walking...
He was a little concerned about the biting and temper tantrums, because she is so young but its not abnormal. He just said we should continue what we are doing so far with disciplining her.
Her eating is also great although he says that she should no longer be eating ANY baby food. The only food that is off limits is peanut butter (and associated products).... So today we made sure both meals (lunch & dinner) were all grown up foods. I think just means that the whole family will be eating better. She is such a trooper when it comes to shots...

It's amazing how much fun they can have with a laudry basket... Who needs toys?
When we don't completely close the pantry door, Kayla thinks its so great b/c its easier for her to "break-in"... just to explore of course. Until she realizes that she could climb those shelves...
During her 12 month "shoot" with Pooh, she thoughther new horsey and ladybug should be included!
Slowly but surely we are moving past the "eating" board books and now she will sit and flip thru the pages of her books... they still end up in her mouth at the end of the readin session but it takes a bit longer these days.
She is obsessed with emptying bins and climbing in them...
... and sometimes she won't even empty them out!

Here with Titi Bethany... and to think Bethany was only 3 when I met her and used to babysit her! Now she is living it up in Florence (abroad for the semester)... Hopefully one day Kayla will be as independent and beautiful as Bethie!
