Our Beach Vacation

So where do we even begin? Our vacation was amazing... mostly because the three of us had 2 full weeks together since the Holidays last year... Kayla enjoyed having her Daddy around more (and I think it was very theraoputic for him as well!).... She loved the waves and the sand and the beach house. We took a bike ride every morning (except when it was rainy)... care of Kayla's 1st Birthday present. We got her the "CoPilot" and had it attached to the back of my bike. She really loved it. We tried to get to the beach everyday we could (again, aside from the rain but even then we took walks with our backpack carrier)... We visited the boardwalk & aquarium at Pt. Pleasant, we went shopping at the outlets, played mini-golf, visited a great layground in Belmar, went the Seaside Hts a few times to the boardwalk (Mommy even got to see all the guys from MTV's "The Jersey Shore").... Daddy made fun of her but some people won't ever change! We ate lots of great new food. Kayla got to sleep in a comfy new bed (care of her buddy Katelyn). She made friends on the beach too. The governor is what her Daddy started calling her. When we did go to the beach, we setup her playyard (some kid on the beach called it baby jail)... and she had a blast under the 3 umbrella canopy in her playyard. Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Mary and Cousin Sarah all came to visit too. She went on the Merry Go Round 3 times (on different days) as well as a few other rides with her friend Maddie. Out of the 13 days we were down there, 4.5 were kind crappy... but we managed to find things to do and places to take Kayla. It was great to have a grill & washing machine but sucked not having a dishwasher, the changing table, her rocker, Sprout.... We were glad to come home and spend a few more days doing the things we love to do! Enjoy all the great pictures (there are ALOT).
